Seems whenever the family is in town or there’s a special occasion, we seem to get together and lunch at Harlow’s Cafe. Seems appropriate, right? Not really related, but always a topic of conversation! The menu is extensive, and the breakfast options are myriad, and fabulous! I warn you about the french toast, one of my favorites. I’m old now, and my appetite isn’t what it was 20-30 years ago. They have an option to order half, and that’s still pretty big! A very popular place, but Yelp says they are open on Monday and Tuesday, and they are not.
I’ve never been a celebrity, but we do have a daughter who worked on a few Oscar winning films, like Life of Pi and Golden Compass. Gael Jean Harlow, and her middle name is actually after Jean Harlow, the Hollywood actress, highlighted at the Cafe. Interesting. Interesting too that we found a letter in old family stuff that confirms that Jean Harlow actually was using her mom’s last name. And her mom is distantly related!
